Wellbeing
At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- student support officer (SSO)
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

Parent feedback on wellbeing program
“I just wanted to send a quick email to acknowledge the My Strengths session that my son participated in yesterday. As soon as he got home, he could not stop talking about it. He was so motivated and excited after completing the day’s activities and spoke so highly of the presenter, who he said connected incredibly well with the boys from the moment they entered the classroom with the upbeat music, right through to the end of the day. It’s been a while since my son has been this excited about a school event – as a parent it was so wonderful to see. Thank you to the organisers - I hope this can be scheduled for future year 9 students as it had such a great impact on my son” .
